This is two days late but whatever, I'm keepin up right?
First week of classes went all right. Took a bit to get back into the swing of things but I think I'm doin fine now. Well...except for Japanese 101. I'm kinda worried about that and honestly I sort of want to drop the class and just go back to Spanish next year. Speaking it really isn't that bad it's just the writing, which I guess I should've expected. Mostly since everyone I talk with about this tells me the ol' "What'd you expect?" bit. I very well might tough it out though, I basically have this week to decide so I can drop it without a grade. I probly should drop it too, I've already missed one assignment and we have a quiz that I'm probably going to fail because it's writing. Staying up til 3 am right now isn't going to help matters.
In personal news, I went to Starbucks for the first time and used the gift card my grandparents gave me. That stuff is friggin delicious. I went in the morning and hung out with my buddy Marcus and then went back at night after the very fun Alumni Pep Band Game. I went yesterday for the third time with a girl that I've had some affection for for a while. It was fun. I made her laugh and I got to see some of her very good artwork. It was nice, despite the fact that we only had 45 minutes due to my brother needing the car. Honestly, we could've probably stayed there for a good couple hours at least. On the way to take her home, we talked about some Tumblr stuff and I mentioned how I posted an anonymous message when she requested people leave "get something off your chest" posts. After I got home I told her what it was and the outcome was...awkward. We even said it was awkward to each other. Then we just kind of glossed over it and continued normal conversation. It was really the smoothest 'friend-zoning' I ever went through and I didn't feel that badly about it.
That's pretty much all the important stuff for this week. Colts fired Jim Caldwell yesterday and the SOPA blackout is today for some sites like Google and Wikipedia (1/18) so for future readers you get a little piece of history there.
Snoooooooch to the nooooch.
Good night.

So does anybody out there have the answers to life? Specifically what I'm supposed to do with mine?
(This is a really long post with plenty of angst so if you don't know me that well or don't want to read such a post then these aren't the droids you're looking for. Move along and have a wonderful day).
Nothing would give me any greater pleasure than to just start a career in comedy or start up my ska band. However, there's nothing in college that fits into either of those categories in regards to things I want to do. First I was a Comm major and thinking "Oh yeah, I could get into broadcasting. Maybe even my own show or something." Then I figured upon Journalism (still within the Comm major) then I was like, "Meh, this sucks. I know! I'll be an English major and become a plain ol' writer! BRILLIANT!" However if I wanted to be a writer, I could probably do that today. It's really not that hard and I sure don't need to take Literary Analysis at 8 AM, three days a week and relearn things I already know and having to read a book here in February that I read in the 11th grade and despised. (It's The Scarlet Letter if you wanted to know. If you don't know what that is, watch Easy A. K thanks)
Also I'm taking Japanese 101 which sounds cool but kind of worries me in writing the stuff. Especially since the prof was like "be sure you're careful and precise in your writing of the Japanese letters because you could possibly use the wrong syllable by mistake." Great. I guess I should have just tested into higher level Spanish and continued that. I'll give it another week and see where it takes me since you can drop a class by the 22nd and not have it affect your grade.
So yeah. I'm complaining like a wee little bitch. I'm fully aware that all of my problems are my own fault. That's what makes me feel worse because there's nobody really to blame this on other than me. I guess I'll have to just push through and hope I stumble across a monumental discovery that forever changes my life...or get bitten by a radioactive spider. Either or, it really matters not to me at this point. So to those that read this. Thanks for listening to the problems of a nineteen year old who feels like he just cannot get his stuff together and finally enjoy life for a change. If it's one thing I do know, it's that I've got some pretty awesome friends out there and I thank you for it.
